Makes Me Proud

On the way home from school, Maya told me that there is a new boy in Grade 1.  She had fun playing with him at recess.  "No one wanted to play with him", she recalls.  "But I wanted to play with him and help him feel welcomed".  "He's really nice, mom.  I had fun playing with him".  You are so beautiful, Maya.  I am proud of you and your beautiful heart.
